Severe or throbbing pain in one side of the head is called as migraine. It is the severest form of headache that is triggered due to multiple causative factors. It is found more commonly in women as compared to men. Migraine is a neurological syndrome that is caused due to obstructed or reduced supply of blood and oxygen to the brain cells. The pain becomes worse upon exposure to sunlight, loud noise and general light.
The patient may also experience feelings of nausea and vomiting in some cases. It is advised to take rest so as to get recovered from this condition quickly. Application of cold compress or some balm on the temples helps in offering great relief from severity of pain.
