Hepatitis is a liver disorder that results in malfunctioning of the liver cells as a consequent of which digestive system is also affected negatively. It is triggered due to viral attack on the body. Depending upon the type of viruses attacking the body, hepatitis may be divided into A, B and C-1 types. It may even result in high lipid content and high cholesterol levels in the body as a result of reduced lipid metabolism.
Most commonly noticed symptoms of hepatitis include jaundice, pain in the body, pain in the abdomen, nausea, frequent fevers and diarrhoea. The patient may also suffer from loss of appetite, recurring attacks of diarrhoea as well as chronic headaches.
